Kinetic uncertainty relation on first-passage time for accumulated current

چکیده
The kinetic uncertainty relation (KUR) is a trade-off between the precision of an observable and mean dynamical activity in fixed time interval for time-homogeneous continuous-time Markov chain. In this Letter, we derive KUR on first passage time-integrated current from information inequality at stopping times. shows that bounded above by number jumps up to time. We apply our result simple systems demonstrate constraint gives tighter bound than thermodynamic regime far equilibrium.

First-passage kinetic Monte Carlo method.
We present an efficient method for Monte Carlo simulations of diffusion-reaction processes. Introduced by us in a previous paper [Phys. Rev. Lett. 97, 230602 (2006)], our algorithm skips the traditional small diffusion hops and propagates the diffusing particles over long distances through a sequence of superhops, one particle at a time. By partitioning the simulation space into nonoverlapping ...
متن کاملFirst Passage Time Analysis on Climate Indices
Climate variability is simply represented by teleconnection patterns such as the Arctic Oscillation (AO), Antarctic Oscillation (AAO), North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO), Pacific–North American pattern (PNA), and Southern Oscillation (SO) with associated indices. Two approaches can be used to predict the indices: forward and backward methods. The forward method is commonly used to predict the ind...
متن کاملRelation of uncertainty for time
We introduce two time: deterministic Newton time-stream t and stochastic timeepoch τ . The relation of uncertainty for time-epoch of physical events ∆τ∆D ≥ c1, (∗) where c1 = const, is proved. The function D(t) = −c1 d dt ln fτ (t), characterizes velocity of disorganization of the event-phenomena; fτ (t) is density of probability of time-epoch τ . The relation (*) is verified not by means of ex...
متن کاملFirst passage time analysis for climate prediction
Climate prediction experiences various input uncertainties such as initial condition errors (predictability of the first kind), boundary condition (or model parameter) errors (predictability of the second kind), and combined errors (predictability of the third kind). Quantification of model predictability due to input uncertainties is a key issue leading to successful climate prediction. The fi...
متن کاملFirst Passage Time Distribution for Anomalous Diffusion
We study the first passage time (FPT) problem in Levy type of anomalous diffusion. Using the recently formulated fractional Fokker-Planck equation, we obtain an analytic expression for the FPT distribution which, in the large passage time limit, is characterized by a universal power law. Contrasting this power law with the asymptotic FPT distribution from another type of anomalous diffusion exe...
